The program provides training, capital, mentoring and other support for the MWBE small businesses.

In the Bible, Lydia of Thyatira was a business woman who helped establish the early Church through her leadership, patronage and hospitality. Lydia was a seller of luxury textiles dyed purple worn or used by the wealthy elite. Her occupation and stewardship of her household indicates she was a woman with resources who use that wealth to care for others.

One of those listening was a woman from the city of Thyatira named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth. (Acts 16:14)
