Boundary Stone Neighborhood Development

Investing Locally through Community Enterprise Centers

Boundary Stone Neighborhood Development is a community development real estate program model. With support of experienced real estate developers, Local Partners develop, own and operate neighborhood development projects. These serve as mixed-use  community enterprise centers hosting local entrepreneur and employment training facilities, local enterprise business incubation and co-working facilities, and affordable workforce housing and community health centers. The goal of these projects are to create infrastructure to support equitable and sustainable economic growth in the neighborhood and to serve as the facilities for workforce enterprises and other community development activities.

In the Bible, the boundary stone marked the equitably allotted area of land for each family and household that would provide food, livelihood and homes for each person. This equitable allotment was further solidified through return of property and land in the Year of Jubilee. God’s concern for the boundary stone of the widow and the orphan points to the biblical concept that economic systems are to be restored by God’s redeemed people for the benefit of the poor.

Do not move an ancient boundary stone or encroach on the fields of the fatherless, for their Defender is strong. (Proverbs 23:10-11)
